PREVENTIVE CARE

The first step to oral health is preventive care. We strive to prevent further issues with regular teeth cleanings and exams. During semi-annual recalls, clinical exams and digital x-rays are used to search for issues such as decay, gum disease, and infection. As part of every exam, we perform screening for head, neck, and oral cancer. Dentists have the unique opportunity to routinely see our patients more often than physicians and, as such, are usually able to detect changes which may affect the whole body more quickly. Our providers are trained in treating bruxism to help prevent grinding and breaking of teeth. Treating bruxism can prevent or alleviate temporo-mandibular-dysfunction (TMD).

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Whether it is a simple chipped tooth or comprehensive treatment of the whole mouth, the best materials and techniques provide the best long-term outcomes. We strive to educate our patients on the treatments needed, the materials we choose, and the benefits they provide. Visual demonstrations of crowns, implants, bridges and even fillings make patients young and old more comfortable with the historically uncomfortable business of restoring teeth.

Restoring your smile and rebuilding your confidence can involve fillings, veneers, crowns, bridges, or implants crowns. Tailoring a treatment plan to fit each case is important to provide a step-by-step map, so the patient knows what to expect at each appointment. Once a patient has eliminated disease and decay, educational tools and hygiene aids are recommended and dispensed to help preserve their investment in whole-body health through their teeth.

ORAL SURGERY

Tooth extraction is often seen as a last resort. Nothing in dentistry is more permanent than the loss of a tooth, and nothing can 100 percent replace a missing tooth. However, sometimes we have no choice. Whether a tooth is no longer viable or a child needs more room prior to braces; Drs Wilson can safely and comfortably remove teeth. Teeth and oral health are so important to the health of the body that your physicians or surgeons may require “dental clearance” prior to cancer treatment or surgery.

In some cases, this may require the removal of diseased teeth. We strive to expediently schedule these cases, so the surgery or treatment is not delayed. Prior to denture placement, teeth may need to be removed and the gums/ bone smoothed to ensure the proper and comfortable fit of the dentures for many years to come.

DENTURES

Dentures are a great option to replace one or more teeth, and we offer complete, partial, and implant-retained dentures. These removable teeth provide a great way to eat, drink, smile, and feel better. They are fabricated during a comprehensive 5-step process that will ensure the best possible fit and appearance.
